The Do's
Stay positive- if you believe you can do something, you will. The reverse is also true.
Play nice- the class is much more fun if you can be nice to each other.
Accept responsibility for your actions- if you make a mistake, own up to it and move on. It happens; we're
humans.
Be prepared- take care of restroom needs before coming into class, and always have your supplies.
Use class work time wisely.
Study your vocabulary for a few minutes every night.
Ask questions when you are lost.
Participate in discussions.
Do your homework.
The Don'ts
pack up & wait at the door before class is dismissed
eat in the classroom (water is fine)
flip water bottles, markers, or anything else
ignore my directions, and then ask what to do
text or take phone calls during class
paint your nails, style your hair, or apply makeup in class
touch anything that is not yours- this includes anything on my desk
move chairs around
expect to be allowed to leave the room immediately following the tardy bell or right before dismissal
Mrs. Romero's Requests
If I am talking, please remove both earbuds/headphones. I consider it rude to only have "half " of your attention.
Please have something to read with you at all times.
English class is for English work; please complete your math, Spanish, bio, and/or geo homework another time.
Listen to directions as they are given. Directions are given multiple times, and in multiple formats. Pay attention.
